A: Our cacao is grown in a gluten-free environment, but packed in a facility that also handles wheat products. We take preventative actions, however, to limit cross contamination by running a full sanitation process and allergen testing of equipment prior to packing MGF products.
Q: Does My Green Farm Cacao Powder have caffeine?
A: Cacao does naturally contain a small amount of caffeine (about 5-10mg per 5g of cacao).
Q: Does My Green Farm Cacao Powder contain Cadmium?
A: Since cacao powder comes from South America where heavy metals are naturally abundant in the soil, cadmium values vary from batch to batch and crop to crop. We run monthly testing to ensure that My Green Farm Organic Cacao Powder is always in compliance with FDA heavy metal regulations. Please note that consuming one serving of cacao per day is safe according to the FDA GRAS (generally recognized as safe) guidelines.
